This September, the Dalloul Artist Collective (DAC), in collaboration with the Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF), will present Testimonies of Fire: Massacres and Masterpieces in Arab Art.
At the heart of the exhibition stands Dia Azzawi’s monumental tapestry Sabra and Shatila Massacre,2018, surrounded by works from both the Foundation’s extensive holdings and new contributions from the Collective’s growing roster of artists. Together, they form a powerful dialogue between generations and geographies, tracing how Arab artists have responded to war, displacement, and the enduring need to bear witness.
Participating artists include Youssef Abdelke, Ziad Antar, Dia Azzawi, Ayman Baalbaki, Said Baalbaki, Serwan Baran, Everitte Barbee, Jean Boghossian, Tagreed Darghouth, Chawky Frenn, Moustafa Haidar, Mahmoud Hammad, Inaya Fanis Hodeib, Mohammed Kacimi, Salim Al Kadi, Mamdouh Kashlan, Abdul Rahman Katanani, Sliman Anis Mansour, Nazir Nabaa, Mahmoud Obaidi, Faisel Laibi Sahi, Marwan Sahmarani, Asim Abu Shakra, Hady Sy, Alfred Tarazi, and Katya Traboulsi.
Testimonies of Fire will be DAC’s second exhibition. While Escape to Joy celebrated resilience and vitality, this new show turns to the darker registers of history, where memory and image converge to document the scars of violence.
Stay tuned for more as we prepare to unveil this landmark collaboration between DAC and DAF, one that foregrounds the capacity of art to hold memory and ignite collective reflection.
